The regeneration project of the former Garda shipyards provides the opportunity to offer, in addition to the urban system, a second view that relates to the natural areas, the olive grove and the lake: a new recognizable landscape in which the existing activities, linked to mountain and aquatic sports, and the new polarities can be experienced in nature according to an innovative model.

The concept of the landscape project is based on the idea of recreating the typical landscapes present in the Garda territory to characterize the different areas of the Mediterranean Village.

The characters of the evergreen forest, the woods of the Valle delle Cartiere, the islands and orchards, the Mediterranean gardens and the green bays will be evoked in the squares, courtyards and terraces of the new complex, so as to characterize and emphasize the identity of the territory in every place.

In the perimeter area, dense wooded areas such as mountain forests mitigate the visual and acoustic impact of neighboring activities; the buildings are integrated and camouflaged in the greenery present in the central courtyards; finally, the vegetation takes on a more Mediterranean character and a regular and sparse distribution near the shore, to the point of qualifying the view of the new port, which becomes an integral part of the project area.

The new users of the Mediterranean Village will live in symbiosis with nature, in a continuous mosaic of wooded areas, open spaces and shaded gardens dedicated to reading and relaxing in the open air, playing, yoga and meditation, recreational activities and sports, aromatherapy and horticulture.
