The Bassona Park has a clear design, made of meadows, lakes, natural areas, sports fields and agriculture, which aims to reconstitute the historical landscape of the pine forest, well recognizable in the ancient representations, which was inserted as a “full” wedge between the great voids of the sea and the salt pans. The tourist offer, attentive to the sphere of environmental sustainability and well-being, is thus integrated into the countryside and into the soul of the park.

The dual nature of the park creates a combination of environmental and educational-recreational activities: the corn field hosts the maze, the horticultural crops offer to the agri-camping the harvesting and tasting of seasonal productions, the fields with alfalfa stable meadows host events and concerts, and the arable land in rotation, with sunflowers, wheat and seed plants, live in symbiosis with the tourist offer of glamping and accommodation facilities in the woods on the edge of the countryside.

The pine forest, a significant part of the park’s fruitive experience, will be the subject of replanting to replenish the empty areas and to recompose the tree mass in correspondence with the strip dramatically marked by the atmospheric events of July 2019. The project plans the creation of a “Forest of memory”, that is a memorial on a landscape scale in which trees of different species will be planted so as to leave the visible scar produced by the force of nature, introducing a recognizable and iconic shade as well as a unique landscape within the park.
