With the aim of generating a physical space where to concretize the vision of “Cuneo Alpine City”, a pulsating place of activities, relationships, opportunities and tourism, the project of the external areas aims to offer the city a multipurpose space, able to satisfy multiple functions and services for the development of local communities from a social, cultural and economic point of view. This space aspires to enhance the environmental heritage and identity of the city, as well as promoting forms of sustainable mobility.

The new unitary green space becomes a container of functions and activities available to citizens, through the integration of the ‘horizontal’ system of flooring and the ‘vertical’ system of trees and greenery.

The selection of the pavements aims to guarantee the maximum permeability of the soil and the superficial drainage of water; the intervention on the vegetation enhances the valuable elements, including rows and specimens of ornamental value, and the selective thinning of the remaining vegetation allow the use of the area and the new features provided within it.
